Governing ADR Organizations
Arkansas Judiciary - ADR Commission
The Arkansas Alternative
Dispute Resolution Commission was created by Act 673 of 1995. The
Commission consists of 7 volunteer members who have demonstrated
prior interest or involvement in alternative dispute resolution.
Members are appointed by the Governor, Chief Justice of the
Supreme Court of Arkansas, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and
the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The ADR Commission oversees the practice of mediation and
arbitration throughout the state. Arkansas has a formal
certification process for mediators and the ADR Commission maintains
the centralized roster of these mediators.
